Kotor Bay To Welcome 2 New Hotel Brands

Exciting news from Kotor Bay. Two hotel brands will open their doors for first guests by 2024.
We are talking about Hotel Mövenpick by Accor hospitality group located in Risan and Hotel Marriott by Marriott International located just a few steps from Kotor Old Town.
Vladimir Jokić, the President of Kotor Municipality expressed his full support for the projects in an interview for local radio station.
“I absolutely support the construction of new hotel capacities in Kotor. That is something that makes me very happy.”– said Jokić.
He pointed out that having hotels and brands of this caliber will have a positive impact on Kotor’s image on the global touristic map. “When Marriott and Mövenpick open their doors we will no longer be so dependent on cruising tourism because we will already have a significant number of guests in our city.”- Jokić.

As we said, Marriott hotel will be just a few steps from Kotor Old Town, right across TC Kamelija. The 5* hotel will feature a restaurant, spa center, indoor pool, congress room facing the sea. Commercial spaces will face the main street in Kotor, which complements the content of the space in which they are located. In this way, the ground floor of the Hotel is in constant interaction with the users of the public promenade and is not subordinated exclusively to the users of the hotel.

The hotel will have total of 120 accommodation units – rooms and suites. All rooms and apartments will have access to the terrace. The exception is only eight accommodation units, where priority is given to the aesthetic identity of the building. On the secluded floor, rooms enjoy views of the green terraces. All accommodation units correspond to the category of 5+ star hotels.
The pedestrian path that leads from the Old Town, continues through the Hotel perimeter and allows circular movement around the building that leads to the city beach and thus valorizes this space, which today has completely lost its function. The ground floor solution along the seashore is designed in such a way that it practically leads the user – casual passer-by to stay in that space. In addition to a 5* Hotel Marriot, Kotor will get another, much-needed, urban space.
The contraction work will start in January 2022, and it is planned to be finished in April 2023.

Since the beginning of the cooperation, Accor group has been at the forefront due to its global presence, variety and relevance of its brands and a strong and numerous loyalty program. Such investment gives Briv Construction an opportunity to give back to the community and leave a legacy to the tourism of Montenegro and generations to come” –says Vladimir Mracevic, CEO of Briv Construction.
New Mövenpick hotel is located in the most peaceful part of the picturesque Boca Bay. Thanks to that it is ideal for travelers seeking rest and serenity but also for those looking to check out the history of nearby town of Kotor or Herceg Novi or enjoy an active break hiking up the surrounding mountains. The hotel is also conveniently located to both Tivat and Dubrovnik airports catering to local and international guests.
